From the Harford County Health Department:
County residents who received their Naloxone kits through the Harford County Health Department between May 2014 through September 2016, are urged to check their atomizer for recalled lot numbers. This request is in response to Teleflex Medical Inc.’s medical device recall for specific lots of MAD Nasal Intranasal Mucola Atomizer Device.
Teleflex received complaints that certain atomizers were delivering medication in a stream rather than a fully atomized plume. Although naloxone will act to reverse an opioid overdose, defective devises may cause a risk of under-dosing naloxone during nasal administration. While it has been confirmed that some of the corresponding devices have been distributed to Harford County residents and organizations, there have been no reports of product malfunctions.
If your naloxone atomizer has been affected by this recall, please call the Harford County Health Department at 410-877-2355 for a replacement. In addition, the health department is urging residents to also check the expiration date of the naloxone and use their certificate of completion from the training class as a prescription to refill at their local pharmacy.
Teleflex Medical Inc. has issued a recall for the following lot numbers of MAD300 Devices:

Wow. Let’s make sure all of our county heroin users and abusers are aware of this critical recall. I sure wouldn’t want one of these precious persons to get a bad batch of Narcan in there systems. I wonder how much the county has paid out for these kits to keep these opioid abusers alive. I am pretty sure there are hundreds of people in this county alone who suffer from severe allergies and whose insurance only pays a partial cost of the epi pen leaving the rest as an out of pocket expense. Why are we not giving this life saving medical device free? Why are we throwing money at another bad program to keep drug abusers alive? If these cretins continue to inject this poison in their arms knowing that the government will protect them, treat them, keep them alive, etc. while at the same time bearing absolutely no personal responsibility, when do we say enough is enough. This is just plain is ludicrous.
Beat me up if you must. Call me an insensitive boor. I don’t care. I am sick and tired of about half of this population continuing to work and pay taxes only to support the other half. Just one man’s opinion.

It is not just for heroin abusers. Elderly and children who accidentally overdose on medication take advantage of the stuff, too.
You’re right, though. Drug use is increasing and there is nothing nobody can do about it.
Keep aware, especially as you drive. Lots of people are driving around on their gimmick of choice these days.
