MIKULSKI STATEMENT ON DAKOTA ACCESS PIPELINE
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) today released the following statement on the protests involving the Dakota Access Pipeline:
“I stand behind the protesters and Native American tribes against the continued construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline until affected tribes are consulted and appropriate reviews are completed. We must make sure that the federal government’s role and reviews are fair, open and followed to the letter of the law.
“Peaceful protest and the right of all citizens to be heard are cornerstones of our democracy. The use of riot gear against the protesters should be reconsidered and a peaceful resolution should be resolved through existing government procedures. There are serious environmental and religious concerns that must be thoughtfully and thoroughly reviewed before any further action occurs.”
THEY ARE ALL LAW BREAKERS AND HAVE NO REASON TO PROTEST AS WATER SUPPLY IS BEING MOVED AT END OF YEAR AND MOST PROTESTERS ARE NOT FROM THE TRIBE, PAID PROTESTERS FROM THE ENTIRE NATION. THE CHIEF IS MAKING A FORTUNE AS HE OWNS THE LOCAL STORE AND GAS STATION.

Do your own research people. This is not about the native Americans. This is all about stopping so-called dirty oil from being refined. The environmentalists are using the native Americans. There were 500 meetings with designs and maps and public meetings for years before any of this even started. This project has been planned, and is going to be finished. There are thousands of miles of petroleum and gas pipelines all over this country. They are a public necessity as long as you drive,heat your house,and fly in airplanes.
Babs should stand in front of them and take a few rubber bullets to the head. She is a nobody now. Good riddance.

Do we have the right to destroy Native Americans just for our convenience?
Or do you believe it is the American Way to continue to rob Native Americans of their rights so the “white” race can reap the benefits of Native American lands just like they’ve done since the white man came to these lands? It’s it time to stop the genocide?
Let the Native Americans have their respect and their rights honored for a change and make the white devil quit screwing them over for a percentage.
When will Washington, D.C. quit breaking their treaties with the Native Americans? I’m happy to see the Native peoples finally using our laws to enforce their rights.
Shame on us for putting our “public necessities” above rights of Native Americans.
It’s too bad some “white Americans” may have to lower their thermostats and take public transportation and use conference calls instead of taking unnecessary plane rides. So what if a few vacations are cancelled because he cost of flying is too expensive. The preservation of the environment is way more important then the frivolities of people bloated with their own importance.
It’s time we learned that when we destroy the ecosystem, we are destroying the future of our children and grand children. What will be left for THEIR enjoyment?
