With Election Day almost here, you may have questions about ballot Question A. Here are the facts:
Question A on the November ballot would make one simple change to streamline the organization chart in the executive branch of Harford County government. Currently, the county’s property management division reports to the director of procurement, who reports to the director of administration. If Question A is approved, property management would report directly to the director of administration. There are no other changes proposed by Question A.
The director of administration would continue to report to the county executive, and decisions about the purchase, sale or lease of property would continue to be made by the county executive. In addition, all legal checks and balances regarding property and procurement will remain in effect. This includes approvals by the Board of Estimates and the County Council.

It takes away one step In the transparency process. So what Barry is trying to say is that he and his administration want one less check and balance so they can do what they want. Please if you have a brain vote NO to Question A

This bill was so piss poorly written. I read it four times and had no idea what it meant. If they can’t even communicate to the voters exactly how the proposed bill will affect the process, eliminate checks and balances and what it means to the citizens, then everyone should vote NO!
I like you Mr. Glassman but Billy Boniface is pondscum and has been ever since he inserted a ballot question during his last year as county council president that allowed him to take a fat, cushy, high-paying job in your administration. I no longer will vote yes on any ballot questions while he is on the dole. I’m voting no!

Whats the procurement director going to do if he cant procure property. Will he lose his job.? Will he work part time? Why does the County Exec want to hide property procurement responsibility in his back pocket ? Whats he trying to manipulate.? Doesn’t sound like streamlining. It sounds like railroading decisions. You know like hastily pushing something through without due consideration. It sounds corrupt. Its like that Mayor in Aberdeen who rigged the runoff council vote. Now the Aberdeen Mayor is postponing charter reform to prevent his type of corruption in the future.
