Capt. Jim is worthless. I’m guessing he has now teamed up with Mrs Burdette. It’s a shame she was doing good things for the Bel Air town but it looks like she’s been bought by Capt Jim. I wonder if he isn’t trying to set up his council spot for Mrs Burdette. Maybe that’s why he is proposing salary hikes for the council. We need someone who cares about the people in that spot not a career politician like Mrs Burdette or Capt Jim. All the county council and town council need to start caring about the people or they can all go during election time.

I’ve always believed that people go into County government to line their own pockets and those of their friends. I don’t think an honest citizen would ever have a chance against the ordained candidates of the power elite and the developers’ contributions. None of them care about the people except to pretend they do so at election time. Plus, most voters don’t do their homework on the candidates, so they get the government they deserve.
