From the Aberdeen Police Department:
According to a dog bite attorney, an eight month old boy suffered an injury to the head after being bit by his family’s dog late Sunday evening. The incident happened at 8:52 PM in the 200 block of Woodland Green Way.
Aberdeen Police secured the scene while members of the Aberdeen Fire Department provided medical treatment. It was determined the child needed to be flown via Maryland State Police Department Medevac to Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital for treatment. The infant remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
The dog has been removed from the residence.
Woodland Green Resident says
Something tells me this isn’t the first time that dog has had a violent outburst.
Joe Belair says
So what breed is it?
Hadenoough says
No doubt it was a pit bull. That’s the official dog of the “Dindunuffin” tribe. Take a look at all of the dog shelters. They are full of them. The pit bulls I mean.
A Realist says
Stereotypical response…
Open Your Eyes says
Stereotypical maybe, but no one can argue that the pit bull is the dog of choice of the ” American Hood Rat”. These are the punks that don’t have the heart to fight with their hands so they pit two animals against one another. In fact, the hood rats are the real animals. The same thing goes with these guys carrying guns and indiscriminately killing people like it is free in our urban and other areas. Part of the tough guy image of being a hood rat is carrying a gun. Since they are too scared to fight with their hands they have to resort to guns because deep down they have no heart. They are just punks.
Duh says
What the hell are you talking about? What a sweeping stereotyping statement. They may not “fight with their hands,” but you are an ignorant ass.
North Harford Democrat says
For once I agree with Open Your Eyes about the tough guy image.
Think of all the conservatives who yearn to get that unrestricted carry permit.
We all know that will never happen.

Coming to a city near you. If these people will attack police in broad daylight. What f’n chance do you have.
North Harford Democrat says
My “Hillary 2016” bumper sticker is all I need. Common sense in all aspects.
Just like carry permits, you all just can’t admit who’s going to be in the White House the next 8 years.
Open Your Eyes says
It warms my heart that you agree with my point. Thanks. I found an interesting statement made by a presidential candidate in 2008. Quote. “She will say anything and change nothing. Hillary can’t be trusted and is not qualified to be president.”
Barack Obama 2008
Look it up. It was said. Just FYI
A Realist says
Stereotyping, all black people rob banks and sell drugs, all white kids in northern harford county shoot dope and pop pills, old white men are pedi files and jerk off to child porn…

Was probably a poodle
Pamela says
It could be any breed dog that wasn’t accustomed to babies in the house.
The Money Tree says
Perhaps, but the CDC keeps detailed records of dog bites that both maim snd sometimes kill. Not surprisingly pit bulls and pit bull mixes are the most likely to bite and not by a little by a lot.
A Realist says
All dogs and breeds bite. Pit bulls have a bad reputation no doubt, they are one of the best pets to have in my honest opinion. It’s all in how you raise them.
Bill H says
“Not surprisingly pit bulls and pit bull mixes are the most likely to bite and not by a little by a lot”
That is factually incorrect but no one has ever said your are correct more times a day than a broken clock.
RU Kidding says
I have owned “pit bull type” dogs for the last 20 years. All four came from shelters. Three received their Canine Good Citizenship certificate while two went on to do therapy work in nursing homes. I never had a problem with them even raising my grandchildren from babies to young adults, my dogs were always obedient and gentle. You get out of a dog what you put into him/her.
A Realist says
Very well said!!! I love all my pits, never had an issue, ever!!!
Breeds Matter says
Big deal: my friend’s wife was attacked by a pit in Harford just two weeks ago. Stitches for her and their dog.
Oh, and remember the lady in CT that was attacked by pit bulls and they *ate her hands*!?!?! Mere coincidence, I’m sure.
A Realist says
Didn’t read about that on the Dagger…
A Realist says
What it really comes down to is,there is a child in the hospital now. Regardless of the “dog” this family should have everyone’s support in this matter. Speedy recovery to this child.
A410guy says
The dog was a Doberman. It was also familiar with the baby (all of 8 months).
Dobermans are a reactive breed and arent always good with children.
