From Harford Campaign for Liberty:
Our next Meeting will be held:
Tuesday, September 27th, 2016
7pm – 9pm
Harford Vineyard and Winery
1311 Jarrettsville Rd
Forest Hill, MD 21050
Join us this Tuesday evening for an all-County Council meeting.
Many of us voted for the “conservative choice” in 2014, from our district council member down to the Council President.
So, how’re they doing? And what’s on the upcoming agenda for the County Council?
You may just be shocked.
Tuesday evening, we’ll get a recap of the hikes in the water & sewer bills across the county, including what the average increase was expected to be each year, and what some residents are actually reporting.
And we’ll highlight some of the response Campaign for Liberty has already had in its efforts to spread the word, and efforts to activate the public.
We’ll also discuss the $100,000 Workforce Training Grant the council may give to conglomerate Frito Lay in Aberdeen.
And we’ll delve into the proposed 18% hike in our Council Members’ pay – do they merit such an increase?
Join us Tuesday with your questions and concerns, and learn how you can get involved in the fight against higher bills, higher wages for officials, and high payouts to corporations.
Plus!

18% Who in the hell proposed that crap?
A raise should be tied to (a) performance, and (b) some type of small living increase.
Where is the grand performance to be rewarded? Please, because I would love to know as my water bill continually gets higher, traffic congestion is worsening, heroin use is running rampant across the county…and they want an 18% raise?
If their argument is that it is tied to inflation, they are as full of it as the guy using “Captain” in his title. Inflation, over the past 48 months, has not exceeded 1.5% on average.
Ridiculous. Guess they all need to pad their coffers for their Congressional run.
