From the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal:
A joint investigation is underway by Deputy State Fire Marshals of the Office of the State Fire Marshal and detectives with the Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division after a deceased female was located in a vehicle along Interstate 95 late yesterday evening.
At 9:35 PM firefighters from Abingdon and Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Companies responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the southbound lane of Interstate 95 at the 76.5 mile marker. Upon extinguishing the fire, firefighters observed the remains of a person in the front driver seat of a 2007 BMW sport utility vehicle. Investigators were requested and it was later determined a deceased female was operating the vehicle at the time of the fire. According to this auto accident attorney deputy State Fire Marshals with the assistance of accelerant detection canine “Kachina” determined the fire originated within the interior passenger compartment and was incendiary in nature and not the result of an auto accident or mechanical failure.
A subsequent investigation by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the identity and cause of death of the victim.
Anyone with information or who may be in the area and observed the vehicle prior to the fire is asked to contact the Northeast Regional Office of the Fire Marshal at 410-836-4844 or Maryland State Police, Highway Barrack at 410-537-1150

I’m sure, at no point, was a “deceased female operating the vehicle”. Saying a deceased femalebin the drivers seat would be more accurate and believable.
Thoughts are with the family.

Suicide, she took a over dose and than started the fire? Or some one killed her and set it on fire

Where are the random internet people who come out of the woodwork on articles like these with replies like, “Go find somewhere else to talk about ______” and various other bossy and cry baby words trying to tell people what and how they should post?

Thoughts and prayers. It’s a bit scary that there’s someone out there that could do that to another human being.
