The Money Tree says
The parking area for that personal care facility is too obtrusive. They’re adding significant sq. footage to that building and adding what appears to be another stand alone, very sq. institutional “ish” looking in aesthetic. As they say, give them an inch and they’ll take a mile…that’s a neighborhood now but once they start there’s no stopping the next business that wants to go in there.
Loser says
6 parking spaces are too obtrusive? Drive through some of the crappy developments dotting the county. you would be amazed at the number that have so many cars they must park them on the street.
Would you be happy if they turned a farm into a Personal Care Boarding Home? Tell us all where you think this belongs? and Not in my back yard is an unacceptable response.
The Money Tree says
First of all dufus face they had to get an exception to put this building w it’s intended use where it is…that means it’s not just me. It means it wasn’t zoned for the purpose it’s beung used. Therefore since the neighbors have allowed for the purpose proposed it would behove the building designers make an attempt to have it blend with the neighborhood. Multispace parking could be moved off to the side and less obvious. Further…and my pount is once allowed there’s very little to stop the next “business” because a new allowable has been established for that area along Red Pump.
Loser says
Apparently the question of where you give your personal blessing for a Personal Care Boarding Home was too difficult.
Not unexpected.
Mrs T says
What, exactly, is a Personal Care Boarding Home?
The Money Tree says
Anything from housing for the elderly to drug rehabilitation.
Clark says
It is a facility to help people with special medical needs.
Miss Gulch says
I have an adult child with special needs. I had to put him in a group home when i couldnt physically handle him anymore. It broke my heart. He lives in a very nice house with 3 other people that is staffed 24/7. He loves where he lives and has a right to live in the community wherever he chooses. That’s the law.
Loser says
Not according to Moneytree, She firmly believes her rights Trump your special needs child.
The Money Tree says
Ah no, not what I wrote and you know it. My point is a giant parking lot front and center w a 2 story sq. building as an addition may be the easiest and cheapest way to go but does nit exhubit much of any attempt to have thst business blend in to the surrounding neighborhood.
Loser says
6 parking spaces make a “gigantic parking lot? That’s rich.
You really are a busy body, there are no regulations on architecture for that area, Why should a business be required to “blend in” when the surrounding houses are under no such restrictions?
Hey dipstick what about that ugly modern house built on Pleasentville rd just before the park. Give me your contacts in the government so I can whine and complain to have it removed because I don’t like the way it looks in the surrounding area.
RU Kidding says
I didn’t live far from this location many many years ago. As much as I hated to move from this area then, I’m so glad I did now.
