From the Maryland State Highway Administration:
To provide a smoother ride for thousands of motorists, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will do residential paving on MD 161 (Darlington Road/Main Street) and MD 623 (Castleton Road) in the village of Darlington beginning this week.
SHA’s contractor, Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium will patch, mill and resurface pavement on MD 161 between US 1 (Conowingo Road) and Green Spring Road, and on MD 623 between MD 161 and US 1. There will be single lane closures with flagging operations in the work zones Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. If necessary, contractor crews may also work on Saturdays between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m., except during the Darlington Apple Festival.
Drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time in the Darlington area during daytime highway maintenance work. Weather permitting, the $1.1 million highway maintenance project will be complete late fall.
While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Work Zone Safety is in Your Hands.
Maryland drivers can know before they go by calling 511 or visiting www.md511.org for live traffic updates, including highway construction and maintenance work zones and lane closures.
Those who have questions about SHA maintenance projects in Harford County may call the SHA District Four Office at 410-229-2400 or send email to shadistrict4@sha.state.md.us.
Reality says
While Gray and son generally suck at traffic management….. (They close off 5 miles of road to 1 way traffic while they work on a 100′ section of road)
But again another section of road being maintained by the state . Anyone wanting a comparable road that HAHA county maintains drive down Prospect Mill Rd……but not on a full stomach the outing might make you toss lunch.

I’d take a guess a “traffic control” company will be used, as that’s the typical these days.
9am, can’t flag a state road until 9am.

Weekday.

What’s your complex, “Reality”?
You get your jollies off by typing about how great SHA repaves their roads and “HaHa” County doesn’t? What’s HAHA County? Harford?
Who care’s? Only you? Amirite? Yeah I’m Rite.
Spare me your tax payer lecture, I talk to enough scared of their own shadow dipshit conspiracy theorist ignorant conservative’s daily.

The advantage of Harford county maintaining the county owned roads is the sheriffs dept doesn’t need to do speed enforcement on them cause your car will fall apart before you get up to speed.
