At the 2016 Annual Meeting and Gavel Exchange luncheon, the Harford County Chamber of Commerce introduced their 2016-2017 Board of Directors and appointed Paige Boyle of Boyle Buick GMC as Chair. The Board, made up of diverse local business leaders, is elected to govern and guide the Chamber with the development and implementation of policies, support organization activities and programs and to steer the Chamber toward fulfilling its mission over the course of the Chamber’s fiscal year, July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017.
“I have full confidence that the 2016-2017 Board will not only strengthen our accomplishments of the last year, which includes becoming the largest Chamber in Maryland, but will also boost us to even greater success as the premier business advocate in the county, helping members connect and thrive to create a vibrant economy across all sectors,” said Angela Rose, President and CEO of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce. “2016-2017 promises to be a viable year for the Harford County Chamber as we launch the county’s first Young Entrepreneurs Academy and offer educational workshops and seminars relevant to our members.
Paige Boyle is the Marketing Director and Customer Relations Manager for Boyle Buick GMC and has been a very active member of the Chamber. A dedicated mother and role model in the county, Paige has shown true leadership in the Chamber and the community. She was an instrumental influence for the Chamber’s mentoring program and the Young Professionals Committee. In addition to her involvement with the Harford County Chamber, Paige serves on the United Way of Central Maryland Community Partnership Board of Harford County, and was the UWCM Community Partnership Board Chair for 2015-2016.
The newest addition to the Chamber Board is Havre de Grace City Councilwoman Monica Worrell of Advanced Eye Care. Monica is the Marketing and Patient Relations Manager for Advanced Eye Care, and a truly remarkable leader in the community with commitment and involvement with county wide organizations.
The 2016-2017 Board of Directors Officers are Jay Ellenby Safe Harbors Travel Group, Inc. as Chair Elect; Debi Williams, 1st Mariner Bank as Vice Chair of Finance; Jack Schammel , Leading Logic Consulting as Vice Chair of Administration; Bill Suchting, retired professional from Battelle as the Immediate Past Chair; and Bob Bloom, WXCY, 103.7 FM; Bonnie Johansen, Baltimore Gas & Electric, Mary Hastler, Harford County Public Library as Members at Large.
Members serving on the Board include Mary Ann Bogarty, Harford Bank; Randy Brunkhorst, State Farm Insurance; Pat Chambers, WebIXI, Inc.; Mark Dardozzi, Society of Italian American Businessmen; Denise Dregier, Harford Community College; Jeff Foulk, SURVICE Engineering; Karen Holt, Harford County Office of Economic Development; Joy Hoover, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health; Jillian Lader, Harford County Public Schools; Bernie Spicer, Harford Mall; Jay Van Deusen, Rainbow International, Northeastern MD; and Dr. Mary Teddy Wray, Laurel Bush Family Dentistry. Board members that accepted a second three year term are Aaron Piccirilli, MedStar Franklin Square Hospital Center; Patrice Ricciardi, Freedom Federal Credit Union; and Lee Tayson, Liberty Mutual Group.
