July Meeting Cancelled
Considering the number of vacations scheduled for July, Harford Campaign for Liberty will not be meeting in the month of July. We will have members attending the RNC Convention this July 18th to 22nd to represent the grassroots voters and the cause of Liberty.
Please be sure to note our August meeting – Tuesday, August 23rd – when we’ll be briefing the group on details of the convention, including any platform or rules changes that may have been slipped in at the eleventh hour.
We’ll also cover in August the increases homeowners saw in their water and sewer bills this quarter. If you haven’t opened your bill, you may be in for a shock to the tune of $100 to $250 more than last quarter’s fees.
What reasoning did the all-Republican County Council give for this fee increase, and how much more can you expect to pay down the road?

CFL are idiots! “The all Republican Council” didn’t increase peoples bills, they approved an increase in the rates!
This was the proper thing to do based on law.
These utilities are known as “enterprise funds”, and must be self sustaining (meaning that other sources of revenue like the general fund cannot be used to prop up the water and sewer funds).
So since HCG was losing money with the existing rates, they council HAD to increase the user rates (as advised by smarter, more educated folks than them) to make these funds self sustaining. It’s as simple as that.
Sometimes even Republicans have to raise taxes or rates! Get over it tea-baggers!
