From Tractor Supply Company:
Tractor Supply Company (NASDAQ: TSCO), the largest rural lifestyle retail store chain in the United States, today announced that construction is underway on a new location in Fallston, the Company’s 22nd location in Maryland.
The Fallston Tractor Supply store will be located at 222 Mountain Road, and will employ an estimated 15 full- and part-time team members. The store will be approximately 19,097 square feet, including sales floor and support service space. A fenced exterior space will be used for storage and displaying items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment.
“Tractor Supply looks forward to being a member of the Fallston community,” said District Manager Brian Tincher. “Fallston is a great fit for Tractor Supply due to the horse owners and part-time and hobby farmers in the area. Many of our new customers are pleasantly surprised by our unique mix of product offerings, which in addition to farm products and hardware, also includes pet food and supplies and clothing items for the entire family.”
The contractor for the project, Bunnell Hill Construction, began construction on May 2. A completion date has been tentatively set for mid-October.

When you publish a story like this, for the sake of those of us who don’t have all the addresses on Mountain Road memorized, please tell us where on Mountain Road this will be. Something like, “near the intersection with Route 1” or “at the intersection with Route 165”.

It’s at the intersection with Route 1, in the same center as McDonald’s and Texas Roadhouse.

Or just Google it…

I am writing the new Tractor Supply a letter asking them not to pry personal information out of customers drip by drip — phone, zip code, age: it’s obvious data mining and identity theft so they can sell us to junk mailers. I really hate that and won’t shop at places that do that.
Laughing loudly says
Give them fake phone numbers, birthday and zip codes.
My favorite is giving employee’s the store’s actual phone number. It’s amazing how many don’t flinch, as if they don’t know their actual employer’s phone number.

It’s how they figure out where customers are from and how far people will drive to shop there. There is a very good reason they built the store in Fallston. Nothing to do with it’s lack of agriculture and farms, but loaded with customers that would drive to Aberdump to shop.

I don’t mind giving my zip code, but no phone number or date of birth.
I like Laughing Loudly’s suggestion of giving the store their own phone number; very clever!
