From the Bel Air Police Department:
On Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 6:56 am, Bel Air Police officers responded to the unit block of South Kelly Ave for a reported home invasion robbery.
Upon arrival, officers met the victim who reported that a subject know to him as “Tyler” forced his way into the victim’s home and bedroom while swinging a baseball bat and demanding money. A scuffle ensued and Tyler fled on foot with the victim’s wallet.
Investigation by Bel Air Police identified the suspect as Tyler Mitchell Hoerr, 22, of Forest Hill. Bel Air Police located Hoerr’s vehicle nearby, conducted a traffic stop and took Hoerr into custody. A subsequent search of Hoerr’s vehicle yielded a bat that may have been used in the assault; along with the victim’s wallet.
After consultation with the State’s Attorney’s Office, Hoerr was charged with 1st Degree Burglary, 2nd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Burglary, Theft, and 2nd Degree Assault.
Neither Mr. Hoerr nor the victim was injured. Mr. Hoerr remains in the Harford County Detention Center.

When are pressure cookers going to be outlawed? and add these to the list, propane tanks, hammers, nails, knives, fertilizer, cars, trucks, bats, jets, planes? and anything else that could be used as a weapon.

Gun nuts talk a big game, but most have never been involved in such an instance like the article themselves.
Then you have no problem posting the name of your business and home address since no one would target you…and your distain for the second amendment leaves you at the mercy of your enemies.
I guess the people in the Orlando incident thought that it “would be highly unlikely” they would be targeted in an attack. It could happen anywhere you Liberal Tool.

I feel in my heart that your intentions are genuine but like so many Liberals is based on EVERYONE doing the right thing. It isn’t’ that way in the real world. Hundreds of thousands of tons of drugs as are thousands of illegal firearms are coming in to this country on a regular basis. Often times because people are turning their heads and allowing it to happen. This sadly includes government employees. Guns and drugs are never going to stop getting in to this country. Liberal thinkers think that government managed gun control will keep us safe. It doesn’t work that way. Only lawful citizens will be penalized. If you have a solution to the real problem please pass it on.
The question is–How would you defend yourself against a home invasion? Would you wait for the police to come? Would you attempt to overpower the invader? Since you are apparently against guns, I guess you would just become a victim. Why do you boast that you would not be targeted? Is it because you are a professional businessman?

Everyone I know has been through life without being involved with Police or aggressive crime. Its pretty easy to go through life without being apart of either.
What’s “aggressive crime”? Something other than ‘petty crime’ like, someone stealing stuff out of your car, perhaps a fender bender hit and run, maybe even credit card theft.

I don’t have a problem with your choice to leave your defense up to chance, that is certainly well within your rights. I do not like that you petition the government to use force to take away my God given right to protect my life, liberty, and property. Using the term “gun nuts” is offensive. The gun is a tool nothing more.
Government is Force, it is run by man and man is flawed. The same flawed humans that use the Gun to kill and steal also have the ability to gain great power by force of government. It will be a very dark day when humans are rendered helpless by allowing government to remove the very tools that can be used to defend their life, liberty, and property.
We should be focused on determining the root cause of tragic events instead of working to politicize them to our favor. If you can’t determine the root cause of a problem you can solve it without a great deal of luck.
I hope your status as a businessman continues to cast a spell of protection over you but it might be a good idea to come up with another plan…just in case. This world is, unfortunately, infected by far more sick people than would seem fair.
I’m pretty sure the day Maryland would become “Shall Issue,” gun nut goofs would rack one in their chamber and go stand around a street corner in Baltimore City waiting to antagonize so they can shoot someone.

States that allow regular citizens to carry weapons have FAR lower crime rates than those who don’t. Google statistics yourself, more guns = less crime! It’s evident everywhere, you don’t have to like the facts but they are still the facts.
I’m not taking a stance on either side of this issue, but I am taking a major stance on your horrible use of statistics. Assuming your claim is true as presented (states that issue carry permits have lower crime), please show me a study that the level of crime IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ISSUING OF GUNS.

Actually they, for the most part, are not idiots. It is far, far worse than that. They have a very real agenda and in order to get it implemented they are counting on their firmly held belief that we are idiots.
I’m not a gun nut, but I assure anyone that wants to break into my home, threaten my family will be promptly ventilated. I will not allow my family, my home to be victimized. For those that feel something like this could NEVER happen to them, welcome to the real world. Talk to those that have to know they once felt the same way.
