From the Aberdeen Police Department:
Detectives from the Aberdeen Police Department continue to investigate the murders of Jumal R. Dudley and Taneisha C. Smothers, who were shot to death outside an apartment at 80 E. Bel Air Avenue on Monday, June 13. Detectives, through the course of their investigation, identified Terrell Darnell Walton, 29, as the alleged shooter. Detectives obtained a warrant for Walton’s arrest.
On Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at approximately 9:00 AM, the Harford County Municipal SWAT Team and the Aberdeen Police Department responded to the 400 block of Washington Street an executed a search and seizure warrant. Terrell Walton was located and arrested without incident. Walton was charged with 1st Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Assault and Use of Firearm in Commission of a Felony.
The Harford County Municipal SWAT Team is comprised of officers from the Aberdeen Police Department, Havre De Grace Department, and Bel Air Police Department. The Harford County SWAT Team provided technical assistance during the operation. Aberdeen Police Detectives were assisted by the United States Marshalls Service and Maryland State Police.
Detectives continue to investigate this incident and request anyone with additional information to contact the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-272-2121 and request to speak to Det. Divel.
