The goal is to purchase a home to start a recovery house in Harford County? Good luck with that one. As they say, “not in my back yard…”
A good idea but where to locate it? Given the current situation, don’t think near Fallston’s open air emporium and shooting galley is a good idea.

I noticed a Mental Health service medical group purchased a neighbors house where I used to live.
How do I know? I looked up the address on the Maryland Real Property Data Search and the new owner’s name was the Health place, and mailing address was the office location for this facility.
Not in your backyard but you ain’t stopping it.

Oh, the “Use” went from Residential to “Exempt”
Whatever that means.
Miss Print says
Lol,
Did they post the proper zoning hearing notices on the property before the “exempt’ as granted? You got to keep your eye out doe those tiny gray signs. They can’t change the zoning without a public hearing.

I don’t live there and have not for a number of years so I have no clue. Kept in contact with a few neighbor friends.
Our old neighbors said they sold and no further info, then a few months later I was curious who bought their house so I looked it up.

lol.
Wow. Sounds like some skullduggery goings on to me.
I was under the impression that zoning changes required a public hearing. Maybe what you have is a case of illegal doings. Where is this house located?
I would like to look into how this happened. Maybe a really messy inquiry will prevent it happening in the future.
This is just the kind of “good works” that the neighbors pay for with lower resale value and a possible increase in criminal activity. These places do not belong in established neighborhoods. They belong in the middle of high density rental properties or adjacent to existing mental health facilities. (Check out Springfield State Hospital in Carroll County.)

Lol,
There is still the ol’ tried and true remedy, midnight, torches and a can of gasoline.
(This is not a threat. Only a suggestion.)
