From the Susquehannock Wildlife Society:
Embrace your wild side this summer and help raise awareness and funding for the creation of the region’s first dedicated wildlife center! Susquehannock Wildlife Society, a non-profit conservation/education/rescue-rehabilitation organization based in Harford County, will celebrate its first “Night With the Wild” gala on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Deer Creek Overlook in Street, Maryland with an evening of wildlife-themed food, drinks, music, and some feathered, furry, and scaled special guests.
The future Susquehannock Wildlife Center will be a first-of-its-kind hub for wildlife education, research, and rehabilitation in northern Maryland, aimed at conserving native wildlife species for the good of the environment and to maintain them for many generations to enjoy. The facility, currently under renovation, is located on the 20-acre Hopkins Branch Wildlife Management Area property in Darlington.
Our “Night With the Wild” gala is an opportunity to come together for an exotic evening of delight to raise funds and spread awareness about our wildlife center. Enjoy fine food, wine, craft beers, open bar, bourbon lounge, Tito’s Vodka Signature Drink station, live and silent auctions, rare and exquisite jewelry raffles, Big Stakes Gaming Wheel, 50/50 rescue raffle, music to stir your inner animal moves, and a very special visit and photo opportunity with some wild guests of honor.
The title of the 2016 Ultimate Ambassador for Wildlife will also be announced during the gala. Black tie is optional, but wear your gala gowns with your favorite cowboy boots!
All proceeds from the gala will fund the costs of renovating and constructing the wildlife center – creating a place where visitors will be educated and entertained by museum-quality displays, hands-on activities, and live-animal education ambassadors. Having a permanent facility will also allow Susquehannock Wildlife Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to expand its already active and successful wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event are limited and can be purchased for $80 each at http://www.susquehannockwildlife.org/gala2016/tickets/
