Find out what you need to know to protect yourself and your loved ones in a fire, cybersecurity attack, natural disaster, and other emergencies. Registration is now open for the popular “Prepare Because You Care” emergency preparedness training program for citizens, developed by the Harford County Dept. of Emergency Services. The program’s next four-week session will be held on Thursdays from May 5 to May 26 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Mountain Christian Church’s New Life Center, 1802 Mountain Road, Joppa, Md. 21085. The program is free; however, you must be over 18 to participate, and registration is required as space is limited and available seats fill up quickly.
Topics covered will include the following:
· May 5 Cybersecurity, How to Assemble a Disaster Supply Kit
· May 12 Fire Safety in the Home, Basic Fire Suppression
· May 19 Crime Prevention and Awareness (by Harford County Sheriff’s Office)
· May 26 Hands-Only CPR and Basic First Aid, Graduation
