From Harford County Public Schools:
Maryland Interim State Superintendent Jack R. Smith, Ph.D., will spotlight the success of one of the State’s top schools on Tuesday, May 3, as the annual Blue Ribbon Tour of Excellence makes a stop at North Harford Elementary School in Harford County.
North Harford Elementary is one of six Maryland Blue Ribbon Schools selected earlier this year. The school has an impressive record of student achievement, and co-teaching addresses differentiated student needs. North Harford Elementary School is a 2014 Maryland Green School and developed a Monarch Waystation that significantly increased the population of caterpillars and adult butterflies. Afterschool programs are recognized as very innovative; the 5th grade STEM club works with robotics, pneumatics, and hydraulics. The school’s partnership with area high school students provides additional science and cultural arts activities.
