From the office of Rep. Andy Harris:
Congressman Andy Harris (MD-01) has announced that his district offices are hosting two Military Service Academy Resource Forums for students in Maryland’s First District. The events will be held at Bel Air High School and North Dorchester High School in the month of May. All college-bound high school students and their parents with an interest in attending a service academy are strongly encouraged to attend.
Congressman Harris has invited representatives from West Point and the Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and Naval Academies to attend. His staff will also explain the Congressman’s role in the nomination process. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to explore the many different higher education choices.

Andy’s never ending quest to send other peoples kids off to die in other countries to support his buddies who profit from war..
People of Maryland this POS needs to be defeated in the next election.

Unfortunately, the well-informed masses of District 1 care about the “R” next to a candidate’s name a bit more than they do the candidate’s voting history and (in this case, lack of) substantial legislative accomplishments in office. Harris knows he has it easy. That’s the reason he hasn’t done much for his District during his time in office other than happily accept tax dollars and lobbyist contributions as compensation for his “service.”
The Money Tree says
Andy Harris was a doctor in the Navy for a very long time. His family wasn’t wealthy, so service both represented opportunity and a sense if pride in representing your country. It’s not for everyone, especially those who believe we’re blessed with living in a free nation out of luck, rather than the blood shed by thousands of brave young men throughout our history. By the way, the big earthquake in Ecuador, you must have heard thousands of people left homeless, buildings collapsed, children missing, others died, well the military is there already helping both search and rendering aid. I assume you find that objectionable?

Military apologists are really sad, they defend a completely unnecessary institution, calling soldiers “heroes” – they don’t even realized how propagandized they are and just regurgitate slogans from politicians and television. F**k the military, we never needed them and still don’t
word on the street says
Old men make war and send our young to fight their battle at our expense.
