The Association of Fundraising Professionals’ (AFP) 2016 Celebration of Philanthropy in Harford County will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Water’s Edge Events Center in Belcamp, Maryland. Networking and registration begin at 11:00 a.m. with the award luncheon from 12 noon- 2:00 p.m.
The Harford County Celebration of Philanthropy celebrates businesses and individuals whose exceptional generosity demonstrates outstanding civic and charitable responsibility, and whose example encourages others to be leaders in philanthropy in Harford County. Honorees in 2016 are the Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County as Philanthropists of the Year; the Society of Italian American Businessmen as Outstanding Volunteer Fundraisers; The Bayou Restaurant as Outstanding Business Philanthropist and the Unsung Hero Award to Terry Troy. The celebrity master of ceremonies will be Jamie Costello of WMAR TV2.
Previous winners include Dr. Mary Teddy Wray, Saxon’s Diamond Centers, Patricia D. and M. Scot Kaufman, The Ralph and Shirley Klein Foundation, The Dresher Family, The Family of Walter and Betty Ward, The Cook Family, The Lozinak Family, Dr. Richard P. and Esther S.
