From the Harford County Cultural Arts Board:
Harford County Cultural Arts Board invites artists, arts administrators, board members, volunteers, and Arts supporters to the annual Arts Gathering, a celebration of the Arts community in Harford County, on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air, Maryland. Tickets are free, but limited, and can be reserved on the Cultural Arts Board’s website, www.CulturalArtsBoard.org.
Kelley Dilworth, Vice Chair, Harford County Cultural Arts Board states, “The 2016 Arts Gathering is taking on a new role, becoming less of a presentation platform, and more of a party! This is an evening to celebrate everyone that plays a role in the Arts Community here in Harford County. Our Coordinator, Jessica Cleaver, and my fellow Board members, feel strongly that we need more opportunities to gather together as a group, just to catch up with each other, to show support, and to say thank you. It’s through events like the Arts Gathering that connections are made and future opportunities from new collaborations come to be. This is such a vital part of not only sustaining an arts community, but helping it thrive.”
As the government-appointed local arts agency, Harford County Cultural Arts Board is the premier local resource for arts, cultural, and historical organizations, individual artists, and the residents of Harford County, Maryland. We provide advocacy, financial, and administrative support to local arts and cultural groups. The Board administers several grant programs for local nonprofit organizations, sponsors workshops and promotional events, and hosts a Cultural Arts Calendar. Alongside and in partnership with local government, schools, artists, and arts organizations, and the general community, the Cultural Arts Board’s vision is to “preserve, enhance, and promote the culture of Harford County.”

As the government-appointed local arts agency, Harford County Cultural Arts Board, I hope they are not partying on the public nickel.

Why don’t you call them and ask them where their funding comes from?
