From the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County is pleased to announce the appointment of John Goodin of Harford Mutual, Paul Majewski of Chesapeak Shredding, and Lorrie Schenning of Harford Bank, as the three newest members to its Board of Directors. “With our 25th Anniversary behind us, we are ecstatic about the support and momentum that has built up over the last year and feel that these three individuals will be great allies in strengthening our position in the community,” says Jeff Foulk, Immediate Past President for the Clubs. “Our Clubs served over 6,000 youth in Harford County last year, so it’s essential we add members to our Board with the reach and expertise to grow our resources,” adds Phil Crocker, current Board President.
Highly accomplished in his field, John Goodin has held several leadership roles during his 7 year tenure at Harford Mutual, most recently being named the Senior Vice President of Commercial Business Services. John, who is active in the local community and currently resides in Havre de Grace with his wife, Janine, has been a Boys & Girls Club supporter for several years. His volunteerism at the Aberdeen Boys & Girls Club includes assisting with Thanksgiving dinners, Baseball games, and Wiffle Ball tournaments.
Paul Majewski, Owner of Chesapeak Shredding, is a Maryland native, currently residing in Forest Hill with his wife, Brittany, and their five children. Paul is involved with the Aberdeen Rotary and sits on the Harford Community College Foundation Board. In addition to donating his shredding services to the Club, over the last several years, Paul has volunteered by raising funds for the Kiss-a-Pig contest and has been a helping hand at pancake breakfasts, the Haunted Trail, open houses, and even helped to start a new fundraiser called Backpacks, Burgers, and Brews with the Harford Roundtable Group. Paul is enjoying the current projects he is helping with, getting signs built and placed for the BCG summer camp and jump-starting the Passport to Manhood program.
Currently the Senior Vice President at Harford Bank, Lorrie Schenning, brings a wealth of non-profit experience to the Clubs. Lorrie is a Past President and member of Chesapeake Professional Women’s Network, Board Member of Chesapeake Therapeutic Riding, Board Member and Treasurer of Harford Day School, member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, member of the President’s Council and the Black Gold Committee of John Carroll School, and a member of the Women’s Giving Circle of Harford County.
All will be welcome additions to our Board of Directors.
