From the Community Projects of Havre de Grace Inc.:
Community Projects of Havre de Grace Inc. announced today that it has received a $5,000 PepsiCo Foundation grant to support the nonprofit organization’s anti-litter efforts.
The donation will be used to assist Community Projects’ CAT program, or Citizens Against Trash. CAT leads trash cleanups, anti-litter outreach and recycling efforts.
“PepsiCo has been an outstanding corporate citizen in Havre de Grace and we are thrilled to receive a grant that will help us combat litter and make our neighborhoods, roadways and waterways cleaner,” said Al Peteraf, founder of CAT. “Our goal is to make Havre de Grace the cleanest city in Maryland and this grant will help us with our mission.”
Ellen Valentino, executive vice president of the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Beverage Association said, “PepsiCo is committed to supporting sustainable, litter free communities and clean waterways. The CAT program volunteers are working hard to make a difference.”
