From the Aberdeen Police Department:
On February 3, 2016 at 2:00 AM, staff from Upper Chesapeake Hospital contacted Aberdeen Police dispatch to report an injured domestic violence victim. Police responded to Upper Chesapeake and began an investigation.
Investigation determined that the incident occurred in the 100 block of Osborn Rd around 9:00 PM. The victim was strangled and bludgeoned, sustaining severe injuries. At the conclusion of the investigation it was determined Eric David Yeakel, 44, was responsible for causing her injuries. Yeakel fled the residence after the assault and was not immediately apprehended.
Aberdeen Police canvassed the community for several hours in an attempt to locate Yeakel. Yeakel was located, after returning to his residence around 10:00 AM, and was taken into custody without incident. Yeakel was charged with attempted 2nd degree murder and other related assault charges. Yeakel is currently being held on $100,000 bond at the Harford County Detention Center.

What a wonderful love story right here before Valentine’s Day. I hope he bought his flowers and chocolates before they locked his sorry ass up. Oh, that’s right. He’s innocent until proven guilty. I guess his domestic partner won’t have to suffer from his or her injuries until after the trial.
