From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
Detectives assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division recently charged a man in connection to two armed robberies of the same pharmacy, both occurred in August 2015.
On August 1st, 2015, at 4:20 a.m., patrol deputies with the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct responded to the Walgreens located in the 3000 block of Emmorton Road for the report of an armed robbery. No one was injured in the incident and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication. Less than a month later, on August 26th, 2015, at 1:25 a.m., patrol deputies were again dispatched to the same Walgreens for the report of an armed robbery. As in the first robbery, the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication and no injuries were reported.
Detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division assumed the investigation of both armed robberies. Through investigation, detectives were able to determine both crimes were committed by the same suspect. They identified that suspect as Joseph White, 23, of Abingdon.
On October 29th, 2015 a District Court Commissioner issued a warrant for White’s arrest.
He was charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, and other related charges. He was arrested without incident on January 6th, 2016, at the Harford County Circuit Courthouse.
White is currently being held at the Harford County Detention Center on no bond.
