From Maryland State Police:
A Baltimore teenager was charged as a adult by Maryland State Police criminal investigators Monday after his role in an armed robbery over the holiday weekend.
Donnell Corey Baker, 17, of the 5000 block of The Alameda, was charged with armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and theft under $1,000. He remanded to the Harford County Detention Center late Monday in lieu of a $150,000 bond following an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
Troopers from the Maryland State Police – Bel Air Barrack “D” responded to the BP Gas Station at 2201 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood, Maryland 21040 for the report of an armed robbery shortly before 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Upon the arrival of troopers, the victim stated he posted an advertisement on Craigslist in an effort to sell two video game consoles. The victim told troopers he was contacted by a potential buyer via telephone; they exchanged several text messages to broker the deal. When the victim met the buyer and another subject at the gas station, they presented a counterfeit $50 bill and took possession of a PlayStation 4 and an Xbox One. The victim, who realized he was short-changed and the money was counterfeit, confronted the buyer and his associate. The buyer and his associate brandished a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim. No injuries were reported; the suspects fled in a white sedan.
On Sunday, the victim provided additional information concerning the suspect, which resulted in Criminal Enforcement Division investigators identifying Baker as the gunman. An arrest warrant charging Baker as an adult was obtained by CED investigators, following consultation with the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Shortly after 7 a.m. Monday, members of the Maryland State Apprehension Team arrested Baker at a relative’s residence in 5000 block of The Alameda without incident. CED investigators obtained a search and seizure warrant for the residence, which resulted in the recovery of the victim’s Xbox One gaming system and a loaded small caliber revolver described by the victim.
The investigation continues.

He was just starting to turn his life around.
He is a good boy, does well in school…he wanted to go to college.
Wait…an XBox One AND a PS4 for only $50? WTH?
Momma said I can't read says
Did you the read the entire article? “Short changed” usually means someone didn’t give enough “AND” the ‘victim’ could tell what the perps gave was a faux $50 bill.
Applied Tactical? You one of those atypical corn fed white males scared of their own shadow, bible in hand, stroking the barrel of their scatter gun? Ha ha.
AppliedTactical says
Went back and read, didn’t catch that part the first time. Thanks for pointing it out.
No, I am a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. Don’t believe in God, and own fully automatic assault rifles to negate the need for a “scattergun”.
Are you one of those stereotypical, lazy, welfare receiving, 5-kids having, crack-smoking blacks who makes everything about race? Let me guess….Whitey keeping you down? Can’t get a job because you didn’t pass your GED cause you had to quite High School to care for your 3rd BabyMamma?
The Obama presidency has created the false impression that America has evolved beyond her racial divide and the negation and inferiorization of people of color. But this is not true! Rather what is emerging are hidden forms of racism against black people which are no longer written in the legal codes of the land but in the hearts and attitudes of many non-blacks in the U.S. and many parts of the world. America is diminished when evils and racist structures of injustice are allowed to persist.

You’re a big shot, right? Kind of a big deal?
I thought gun nuts hate the word assault rifle?
SoulCrusher says
I agree with your whole 4th paragraph……
Applied Tactical says
Not that big of a deal. Just a guy who tries to right wrongs and protect the people that pay my salary.
Assault Rifle, Machine Gun, Pistol, Gat, Nine…whatever.
Thanks, Soul!
hmmm... says
I always figured if I was going to meet someone for a Craigslist exchange I’d place the meeting in front of the local police station. I’m surprised the charges don’t include the counterfeit bill… that usually attracts the attention of some very serious individuals.
AppliedTactical says
The kid is from The Alameda. Most likely the dipsh1t went to Kinkos / FedEx and made a color copy of a real $50 and attempted to pass that off…
Mind of a child…
HYDESMANN says
As soon as King Obama decrees his new gun law this type of crime will never happen again.
What says
Maybe obozo should disarm the secret service first. All these liberal wanks want to disarm citizens when they live in gated communities with armed security for themselves and their families.
More claptrap from the mental midget.

Its sad. He is 17 years old! 17! He has ruined his life by doing this. For what? A video game? No! Trying to be part of a group of people who will accept him? Counterfeit money! Federal crime! Displaying a hand gun and threatened the victim? These kids have no supervision growing up, and will do whatever they think will get them attention, whether it be good or bad. Thugs… this world owes you NOTHING! You have choices to make! Work your butt off for what you want! That is what will give you sincere satisfaction! There is NO EXCUSE for this behavior. Rant over…..

I’m sure he’ll get accustomed to grabbing his ankles “in the pen.”
