From Maryland State Police:
On Wednesday, Dec. 9 at approximately 5:06 pm, Maryland State Police responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles northbound I-95 at mile marker 75.6 in Joppa. The driver of a 2000 Honda Accord, Bryanna Marie Ey, 21, Baltimore County, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma by MSP helicopter.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Ey’s vehicle, a 2015 Freightliner Tractor & Trailer driven by Daniel Lee Sanders, 50, San Antonio Texas, and a GMC 2500 (pick up truck) driven by Jeffrey Allen Bauer, 49, Cecil County, were all traveling on N/B I-95 @ mile marker 75.6.
Ey’s vehicle switched from lane 4 to lane 3 abruptly into the path of Sanders’ vehicle, which immediately applied its brakes but could not stop in time and struck the rear of Ey’s vehicle. Ey’s vehicle 1 was then pushed out of control, striking the jersey barrier on the left side of the roadway and then into the side of Bauer’s vehicle. Ey’s vehicle came to rest in between lane 2 and 3 on N/B I-95 at mile marker 75.6. Ey was subsequently transported by Trooper 1 to shock trauma.
The highway was closed for several hours due to the involved vehicles blocking a large portion of the north bound lanes while Troopers conducted the investigation.
The JFK Highway Barrack was notified today that Bryanna Ey succumbed to her injuries this morning.
No charges have been filed at this time.

Motor vehicle crashes nearly everyday at I95 between Route 24 and Route 152. What up with that?

People can’t drive! Between the fools thaT dive agressively and the even bigger fools that really think they can magae to text and drive on a four lane highway, no wonder there are accidents. I see it every day. I breathe a sign of relief when I finally reach my exit.

*MANAGE to text a drive–I can spell, I can’t type!

Huh, someone was tail gating and then passed me on double yellow at around 0440 hours this morning.
Happens nearly every morning. I don’t think I’d stop to help if they crashed their car doing this.

I hope there were witnesses that corroborated the story given by the guy in the pickup. Lots of folks out there, especially guys in trucks that have some weird issues with other people trying to merge so much so that they’ll do a run up on your bumper just to show you they object to being passed.
The Money Tree says
Another fatal today northbound 95. Cops chasing a car. Better have been a really good reason to chase this car – innocent person is now dead.
Criminals Fault says
So please tell me you know its the person eluding the police officers fault right?! Regardless of the crime or traffic offense they should comply and stop! Legislators should make fleeing and eluding a felony not a misdemeanor!

These accidents have been going on for years and will continue between 24 and 152. Rt24/I95 task force recommended a flyover for nb95 -nb24. Mdta took built the most inexpensive option which is probably the most unsafe of the 5 options. A dedicated exit lane for nb24 running from 152 north combined with increased over head signage prior to 152 could make the area safer.
Saved an asshole a ticket says
I noticed this morning a deputy running radar this morning at the incoming traffic in the direction I was traveling.
And? On my way back (40 minutes later) nearing his location your atypical asswipe driver comes hauling ass out of nowhere behind me/tailgating, as I was nearing where the Deputy was, I thought about pulling over to let this jaghoff pass me but I figured the Deputy would be gone to other things, sure enough he was still there and man, I wish I had let that speeding driver haul ass up the road in front of me. I probably would have stopped to take a picture.
