From Harford Community College:
Harford Community College’s Presidential Search Committee has identified four candidates as finalists: Ted A. Lewis, Ed.D.; Gregory J. Feulner, JD, Ph.D.; Dianna G. Phillips, Ph.D.; and Bradley J. Ebersole, Ph.D. They will be visiting the campus from Monday to Thursday, November 30 to December 3. The community is invited to open forums on each of those days from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Chesapeake Center, Dining Room South. The date that each candidate will visit HCC is as follows: Dr. Ted Lewis, November 30; Dr. Gregory Feulner, December 1; Dr. Dianna Phillips, December 2; and Dr. Bradley Ebersole, December 3.
Dr. Ted Lewis is Vice President of Academic Affairs at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, TN. He has taught for more than 30 years at the college level. He was founding dean of instruction at Lone Star College-CyFair, department chairperson at Collin College and director of its Bellwether award-winning learning communities program. Dr. Lewis earned a B.A. in Political Science from Texas Wesleyan University, an M.S. in Political Science from the University of North Texas, and an Ed.D. in Educational Administration with a specialization in Community College Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Gregory Feulner is currently working at the Johns Hopkins University as an attorney. He has been employed by law firms including Merchant & Gould, and Potter, Anderson & Corroon, and has held leadership positions in large companies including 3M and DuPont. He received a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology at the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Pennsylvania State University, specializing in molecular biology. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health and a second postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Feulner is also a graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law.
Dr. Dianna Phillips is the Chief Executive Officer of the University of the District of Columbia – Community College in Washington, DC. Prior to her appointment, she was the Executive Vice President for Educational Services at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. Dr. Phillips also served as Dean of Technical Education at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY. She earned a Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in the Social Foundations of Education with an emphasis on Higher Education Administration. She holds an M.S. from Buffalo State College in New York; a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University in San Diego, CA; and an Associate of General Studies from Chaminade University in Honolulu, HI.
Dr. Bradley J. Ebersole has served as president of Washington State Community College, Marietta, OH for four years. Prior to that he was Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at Baton Rouge Community College, LA, and had a 25-year career at the Community College of Baltimore County that included teaching and various administrative positions. Ebersole has a background in international education, having spent three years working and teaching abroad in Japan, Jamaica, and Europe. He is a trained and experienced mediator. Dr. Ebersole holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in higher and adult education, an M.A. from the University of Maryland, a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Catonsville Community College.
