From the Harford County Public Library:
Join the Library for a fun and exciting event where adults and kids will work together to compete in hands-on engineering challenges while learning more about what engineers do and the role engineering plays in everyday life. “Family Engineering Challenge” is part of a statewide initiative, called the Maryland STEM Festival which provides inspirational, educational and accessible programming in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) throughout Maryland. Being held from November 6th -15th, the Maryland STEM Festival is a collaboration which brings together STEM programming on a statewide level allowing citizens the opportunity to participate without requiring them to travel significant distances.
The Library’s “Family Engineering Challenge” is being held on November 10th at the Edgewood Library from 6:30-8:30pm. Several other STEM programs you can choose from during the week include Little Leapers 3.5 Digital Camp, Minecraft Mania, Explorer Club and Lego Club.
