From the Harford County Sheriff’s Office:
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office is aware of information being shared through social media related to graffiti, a list and acts of violence associated with after school activities at North Harford High School. The Sheriff’s Office has aggressively investigated these posts and has spoken with individuals responsible. At this time, there is no information to substantiate any of these claims. We ask the public’s assistance in minimizing community panic, and only share and like information that is from a confirmed source. While we encourage the sense of community exhibited on social media, false reports are a distraction. Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue to have a uniformed presence at the school for the remainder of the week. But, at this time, we believe the posts to be perpetuating unsubstantiated rumors. If you have any additional information, please call the Student Resource Officer at North Harford High School.
From Harford County Public School:
Rumors of a threatening list at North Harford High School were received and have been thoroughly investigated by the SRO and the Director of Safety and Security for Harford County Public Schools. No credible threat has been found to exist. A request for additional support from the Sheriff’s SRO group has been made out of an abundance of caution, as is typical for these situations.
