From the Town of Bel Air:
Officers oversaw and participated in Halloween activities throughout Bel Air such as the Bel Air Boys and Girls Club “Trunk or Treat” event held at the McFaul Center. Officer Krause (community policing/school resource officer) actively participated and handed out treats to children (and parents).
Traffic enforcement and safety vigilance activities were led by Sergeant Pfarr and Sergeant Smith. Overall, the traffic enforcement initiative resulted in 21 traffic stops for various traffic offenses. The following persons were also arrested by Bel Air Police officers for drinking and driving offenses during the traffic initiative:
TRAFFIC ARRESTS:
1. Portillio, Chris Tian Omar, 28, of Bel Air
2. Engle, Richard Albert, 45, of Kingsville
The All Hallows’ Eve initiative was productive and more importantly, there were no serious motor vehicle crashes, disturbances, or injuries within the town. Please monitor the Bel Air Police Department website, Facebook and Twitter page for updates on future initiatives.

Bel Air Police did an excellent job this year. Officer Krause + Sergeant’s Pfarr and Smith should be commended. I trick or treated with my child in town and Bel Air Police were everywhere. This is the first year that I didn’t see any close calls with kids getting hit. I will say that the police presence seemed to dwindle off drastically between 700-830 even with quite a few families still in the streets. But overall they were on it.

Notice the one guy’s name is Chris Tian. As in… Christian? Parents must have been trying to be unique.

Be ready BelAir residents. The new chief knows nothing but tickets and more tickets.

How about instead of writing people tickets, we worry about the huge drug issues in our town.

3rd drunkest town in the state according to the news, tons of bars and a Saturday night and 2 drunk driving arrests??? I bet there are more than that every weekend night without the Bane’s Chief’s Trooper initiative. Too bad a real chief process never happened.

Harford County has A LOT of problems. Get up at 4AM and drive any county road and butt sniffin’ losers are driving 70 in a 40, passing you on double yellow roads around a blind curve and no cop to be (ever) found.
Its almost a joke when I see headlights approaching fast as shit from behind.
To be honest, if someone wrecked with their negligent driving, I wouldn’t stop.

Bel Air has a major Heroin problem. Need to get all these addicts help and teach our youth about how destructive Heroin is.
