Bel Air Bike Ride for a More Bike Friendly Community

Come help Bel Air become more bike friendly –
The Town of Bel Air, Harford County Planning and Zoning, Healthy Harford, Bike Maryland and the League of American Bicyclists would like invite you to be a part of a short ride in the Town of Bel Air. The town is applying for a Bronze designation from the League of American Bicyclists and Wednesday the League will be coming to Bel Air for a ride through. Join us for any part or all of the ride and give your feedback on how to make Bel Air a more cycle friendly community.
Meet at Shamrock Park near the intersection of Lee Way and Hickory Avenue 1:00, Wednesday, October 21st. We will be discussing the opportunities and challenges at Town Hall at 39 N. Hickory Avenue shortly after the assessment. Please come with your bike (and please wear a helmet). Refreshments will be provided and we hope to see you there.
· Pre-Ride meeting (15 min) 1:00pm Shamrock Park
· Bike Ride (60 to 75 min) 1:15pm Route provided on the day of ride
· Post-Ride evaluation (60 min) 2:30pm Town Hall (near Shamrock Park)
The route will approximately be around 10 miles. Should you wish to ride only a portion of the route, you may break off the group at any time and meet back at Town Hall for feedback. If you can’t attend, but want to stay involved with making the Town more accommodating to cyclist, please contact the Planning Department at planning@belairmd.org or call 410-638-4540.
