The Officers and Members of the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company (JMVFC) announce the death of active member William (Bill) Frank. Bill leaves behind a wife, two children and a large family that loved him.
Bill was born on November 29, 1972. He died unexpectedly Monday morning, October 12, 2015, while at work, off duty from the fire company.
Bill has been serving Edgewood, Joppa, Abingdon and surrounding communities since April of 1997. Before joining the JMVFC in September 2015, he had served more than 18 years with the Abingdon Fire Company (AFC), rising to the rank of First Assistant Fire Chief. The other positions of authority that Bill served with the AFC were:

Fire Lieutenant 2004, 2009, 2012
Fire Captain 2007
Rescue Lieutenant 2008
Safety Officer 2010-2011
First Assistant Fire Chief 2013-2014
A memorial service will be held on October 20, 2015 at the JMVFC Hall, located at 1403 Old Mountain Road South, Joppa. Doors will open at 6:00 PM with the memorial service starting at 7:00 PM. Food and fellowship will follow the service at the hall. Any fire department that wishes to participate and bring large apparatus, please contact Captain John Terrell at johnterrell@jmvfc.org by Monday.
On Friday, October 23, a fundraiser for his family will be held at the Main Street Tower Restaurant, 29 S. Main Street, Bel Air, beginning at 8:00 PM.
