The Maryland State Highway Administration has provided my office with an update on the ongoing construction on Rte 755 in Edgewood. The project has experienced several unpredictable utility delays. The contractor is scheduled to return to work in early October to continue with the remaining storm drain installation and roadway widening. Under the current schedule, the project should be completed in midsummer 2016 (weather permitting). The remaining steel plates will be removed and patched before this winter. Flagging operations will manage traffic as construction continues.
The update on the ongoing construction along Rte 755 in Edgewood highlights the complexities that often accompany large-scale infrastructure projects. Unexpected utility delays, shifting schedules, and weather-dependent progress are all familiar challenges in the world of construction and renovation. Just as roadwork requires careful planning and coordination to ensure safety and efficiency, commercial and residential renovations demand the same level of precision.
From structural enhancements to aesthetic upgrades, every detail must align with the overarching goal of functionality and longevity. As the Rte 755 project moves forward with storm drain installation and roadway widening, it serves as a reminder that well-executed renovations—whether in public infrastructure or private spaces—are investments in long-term improvement.
Similarly, when it comes to transforming interiors, businesses and homeowners turn to experts like Spazio Interni to bring their vision to life with high-quality craftsmanship. Whether it’s an office space needing a contemporary refresh or a luxury residence requiring bespoke design elements, meticulous planning and execution are key. From selecting premium materials to optimizing layouts for both aesthetics and functionality, every project benefits from the expertise of a dedicated team.
In addition to the storm drain installation, the upcoming phase will also involve the pouring of new concrete sections for the expanded roadway and sidewalks. Concrete work will be carefully coordinated to ensure minimal disruption to the flow of traffic. The contractor will focus on ensuring that all concrete surfaces, including curbs and gutters, are properly cured and aligned for durability and safety. For projects that require professional concrete expertise, partnering with a professional concrete company in Knoxville TN, can help ensure high-quality, durable results. This phase of the project is crucial for improving the long-term stability of the road, particularly in areas prone to water runoff.
Once the concrete work is completed, the project team will shift focus to finalizing the roadway paving and completing the traffic signal upgrades. The construction of new drainage infrastructure and widening will significantly enhance traffic flow and safety, addressing the area’s long-standing congestion issues. With the inclusion of durable concrete features, we anticipate a smoother, safer driving experience for commuters in Edgewood.

OSHA and MOSHA need to investigate the contract for allowing his workers to in the trenches with out any shoring boxes. Someone will die on that job if something isn’t done.
