Mr. Mark Benjamin DiBastiani was awarded the Harford County 4-H Camp Scholarship. Mr. DiBastiani is a graduate of North Harford High School and will be attending Towson University this fall to study Actuarial Science. His achievments in high school and 4-H, along with his leadership at 4-H camp and his community, earned him this scholorship.
Mr. DiBastiani was a camper at the 4-H Camp for may years and became a tribe leader and a camp director in recent years. He was an active member of the Small Paws 4-H Club. He has volunteered many hours at the camp doing camp improvement projects. He was a math tutor and a member of the National Honor Society at North Harford High School. He was also involved with track and cross country in high school. He is an outstanding young individual from Harford County.
The scholarship is awarded annually by the Harford County 4-H Clubs, Inc., the operator of the Harford County 4-H Camp at the Rocks. The 4-H Clubs of Harford County also contributed funds for this scholarship. The Harford County 4-H Camp at the Rocks is the oldest 4-H Camp in Maryland and the Harford County 4-H Camping program has had a continiouos camping program in the county for 95 years. The camp at the Rocks is also one of the oldest 4-H camps in the nation. The camp is known for its contributions to bettering the lives of local youth and the community. You can support the 4-H camp at the Rocks by volunteering, monetary contributions, or scheduling an event at one of the camp’s unique facilites.
