Harford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are currently seeking information from the public to assist in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery of a gas station that left an employee injured.
At approximately 1:46 p.m., on August 28, 2015, patrol deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct and troopers from the Maryland State Police were called to the Sunoco in the 1300 block of Riverside Parkway in Belcamp for the report of an armed robbery.
Arriving Patrol deputies and troopers searched the area with a Sheriff’s Office K9 unit and a Baltimore County Police helicopter with negative results.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division was requested to respond and take the lead on the investigation. Harford County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services detectives processed the scene for critical evidence.
The preliminary investigation into the incident indicates the suspect entered the store and displayed a handgun while demanding money. The suspect assaulted an employee with the handgun and a struggle ensued, injuring the store employee. The victim was transported by Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. No other injuries were reported. The victim has hired a personal injury attorney for representation and help in the investigation.
The suspect has been described as a black male, wearing plaid shorts, a black shirt, and a baseball cap. Anyone with information regarding the crime is asked to call Detective Christopher Sergent at 410-836-5428. If the information you provide leads to the arrest and indictment of the individuals responsible for this crime, you may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,000.00.

Do they ever find these guys? It seems like all the descriptions are the same. Once they disappear back into whatever ghetto they crawled from, they won’t be seen again.
Is it safe to say that the consequences of being charged with armed robbery DO NOT outweigh the potential for a quick couple hundred bucks in cash? If so, God help us all.

I can’t understand why, in 2015, we can’t develop camera technology that can capture a crisper, more recognizable photo of these thugs. Any one in the security business care to comment?

Cameras that are 720p and up are available all over Ebay. The 720p are selling between $35-$50 and a 1080p is between $60-$80. Both are considered HD and are better than the crap you see in the Harford County Convenience Stores and Gas Stations. The image you are looking at is from a VGA quality camera that is 640×480 in pixel quality. Basically, the businesses are too cheap to upgrade and really don’t care as long as insurance is covering the losses…….
