Harford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred this morning in Perryman, Maryland.
At approximately 8:11 am, on August 25, 2015, patrol deputies from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Southern Precinct were called to a home in the 400 block of Busby Road, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle during a domestic dispute. Responding deputies located the victim struck by the vehicle and began an investigation into the incident. The striking vehicle was quickly located in an area close to the scene. As patrol deputies approached the vehicle to make contact with the driver, it was apparent that the driver and sole occupant was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.
The victim of the gunshot, identified as a 28 year old male, from Street, was transported to Harford Memorial Hospital by local EMS providers, where he died from his injuries. The pedestrian, identified as a 38 year old male, from Busby Drive, was transported by ground to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation was assumed by detectives from the Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. Deputies from the Forensic Services Unit processed the scene for evidence while detectives conducted numerous interviews. Preliminary investigation indicates that the parties knew each other; there is no threat to the community.
The Harford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division is continuing this investigation. No further details are available at this time.
