From the Aberdeen Police Department:
Aberdeen Officers arrested one suspect in an armed robbery that occurred on Sunday, August 9, 2015. Troy E. Maye, 36 of W. Deen Ave in Aberdeen was arrested on a Harford County District Court warrant on August 18, 2015. The warrant charged Maye with five counts of armed robbery, first degree assault, second degree assault, and theft under $1000.
Detectives are still trying to identify a second suspect in the robbery. The suspect is described as a dark skinned black male in his 30’s, thin build, around 5’8” tall, with short hair and a goatee. He is believed to use the street name “White Mike”.
The robbery occurred in the 100 block of S. Parke St around 5:30 p.m. on August 9, 2015. Several victims were attending a cookout and stated that Maye and the second unknown male were in attendance. After leaving at the host’s request, they reportedly returned and robbed several guests at gunpoint. The victims stated a “warning shot” was fired which neighbors confirmed hearing. While fleeing the area they also robbed a 27 year old man who was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk.
Anyone with information regarding “White Mike” is asked to contact Det. Tomlinson of the Aberdeen Police Department at 410-272-2121. All tips will remain confidential.
