Lance from Hickory says
This guy is an idiot. Doesn’t cover his face leaves his tattoos exposed, rolls up in his full size truck with a tool box in the back. At least he didn’t hold up Hickory Jims Wawa. This guy will be caught and will do 5-10 years in the slammer.
SoulCrusher says
How can he infer that he had a gun and still be charged with Armed Robbery? I mean, he never showed a gun, so its just theft. He doesn’t seem to be very concerned with his identity being known. I question the facts as they are being presented…….Yes, I do think he’s an idiot.

@ Soulman
It is more than just a theft professor. Armed robbery is probably out but “Robbery” generally applies well in this case……..by force or threat of force putting one in fear with the intent to permanently deprive a person of something of value. I hope this will help you one day pass the bar exam. Good luck.

Too much roshambo I suppose.
SoulCrusher says
Did he threaten the guy? It says he inferred he had a gun and demanded money. I’m just asking, I’m not trying to defend the guy. The title of the article does say “Armed Robber”.
Original Observer says
The legal definition of armed robbery includes the implication of a weapon in the course of a robbery. If a reasonable person would be led to believe a weapon was or could be involved, it’s armed robbery. Same reason someone who keeps his hand in his pocket and implies possession of a weapon during a robbery gets charged with armed robbery.
This Guy says
Chances are this clown is just some of the trash from just above the PA line that can be seen all the time in Hickory. Talk about needing to build a fence!!! Let’s get The Donald on it.
They come down in their beat up cars, drive under the speed limit, huffing down Winston 100s, and take up oxygen. Darn mouth-breathers.
Original Observer says
The Sun is saying that a suspect was arrested (and released on bond) for this. Reported his address as the 500 block of Pritt Lane. Idiot perp: That’s practically in this 7-11’s back yard.
