From WHGM AM & FM (The Point):
Steve Rouse, known as one of the most successful and well known Baltimore radio personalities, is making his return to the radio airwaves on Monday October 12th at 6am on Havre de Grace radio station WHGM AM & FM (The Point).
“I’m not sure what has happened here.” Rouse Said. “I was pretty convinced that I was done with radio and enjoying the farm. Next thing I knew, I was sitting in a meeting with General Manager, Jeff Davis, Sales Manager, Bob Mathers and a young, enthusiastic sales, programming and marketing staff. There was some magic there that I wanted to be a part of again. Havre de Grace has always been a favorite spot of mine, with its arts scene, history, great restaurants, beautiful waterfront and the cool people that live here. I’m looking forward to making Rouse & Company a fun place to be every morning and Northern Maryland’s morning show!”
“We are extremely excited bring The Rouse & Company morning show to the station and allowing our younger demographics the opportunity to experience a morning radio show that focuses on Harford & Cecil County”, says General Manager Jeff Davis.
Annie Beccio AKA: Annie B will be joining the Rouse & Company morning show. Annie is longtime friend and band mate of Steve’s band, Stevie & the Satellites. She also was a co-host of Steve’s TV show “Baltimore Saturday Night” which aired Saturday nights on WMAR TV 2. “I am extremely thrilled to be working with Steve again, we’ve had so much fun in the past with music, parodies and most of all, friendship. I look at this as a continuation of where we left off”, says Annie.
The new Rouse & Company show will be filled with features, parodies and great camaraderie between Steve & Annie and others who will be joining the show.
The Rouse & Company show ran for 17 years, from 1988 to 2005 on WQSR in Baltimore prior to the stations switch to the Jack FM format. After the Rouse & Company show ended, Rouse did fill in stints on WBAL, 98 Rock and hosted the morning show on WLIF 101.9 Lite FM. Since then, Rouse has been farming full time on his organic farm in Fallston, rightfully named “Rousedale Farm.”
WHGM, Harford county’s oldest radio station (Launched May 15, 1948) broadcasts across the Tri-State Area on 1330 AM and on 104.7 FM in Havre de Grace, Aberdeen & Perryville. The station brands itself as the “Feel Good Music Station”, playing upbeat music from the 60’s to today, focusing on the 70’s & 80’s.
The station was recently granted a power increase from the F.C.C. for the FM signal which will allow listeners to hear the FM signal in the majority of Harford county by the end of September or sooner. Baltimoreans can listen in via the stations internet stream from the stations website or through the Tune In Radio App.

Best news I’ve heard in radio in more than ten years! I was overseas when Rouse & Company, and all the air staff at WQSR, got unceremoniously JACKed off. Got an e-mail from my stepson asking me what was going on; I told him, “You’re there, I’m six time zones east of you. You tell me what’s going on!” My flight out the next day had practically a half-day layover in Frankfurt, where someone had left a copy of the international edition of USA Today. And guess what? There’s a story on nameless, faceless radio formats with names like Ed, Dave, and (of course) Jack; it mentioned that the entire WQSR air staff had been JACKed off just the day before. I have never voluntarily listened to that radio station ever since they JACKed off Rouse & Company and all the rest of the air staff (heck, Bob Worthington was pulled off at noon in the middle of his air shift and wasn’t allowed to go back in and say good-bye!!). So my wife and I will be listening when Rouse & Company retakes the air.

I wish Linda and Tom could make it back too, plus Joy Pons with traffic. .

What’s going on up there guys? You said your power boost would be September or sooner… it’s November. You seem to have all the wattage of an electric tooth brush… and you’re still in mono. I want to listen, I want to support you, I’m diggin’ a lot of the music, but I think you need to get some professional help for your engineer.
