From the Bel Air Police Department:
On Monday, June 22, 2015, Peter Franchot, the Maryland Comptroller, visited the Bel Air Police Department to present a proclamation to Interim Chief Jack Meckley. The proclamation was a Certificate of Recognition for the services provided to the community by the Bel Air Police Department.
Mr. Franchot personally thanked the officers for their dedication and commitment to the community and citizens and visitors of Bel Air Town. Meckley added, “I’m extremely proud of the work the officers have done during my time as the Interim Chief and especially proud that their work is being recognized at the state level.”
Gathered for the presentation along with Interim Chief Meckley and Mr. Franchot were Jesse Bane, Town Administrator; Dick Slutzky, County Council President; Derek Hopkins, Register of Wills; Susan Burdette, Bel Air Town Commissioner (Vice Chair); Sgt. Henry Marchesani; and Cpl. Sergio D’Alto.
