The Darlington Independence Day Parade & Celebration has been canceled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 27.
The Fireworks Display, only, has been postponed to Sunday, June 28 at dusk.

That stinks but makes sense. Darlington has one of the best parades in my opinion, not too big not too small. See you in 2016

I wonder if the cancellation has something to do with this Homeland Security warning:
“Federal law enforcement agencies have issued a bulletin to local law enforcement warning of the potential of a terrorist attack on July 4, CNN is reporting. The bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI and the National Counterterrorism Center does not mention a specific plot, but says the threat should be elevated around Independence Day in case of an attack centered on the holiday or over the recent depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.”

…Oh no, not because of the weather, it must be the Homeland Security warning!! Why else would they cancel the parade but leave the fireworks (on the following clear night)? LOL, I’m sorry to miss the parade but I thank Darlington for being mindful of the marchers and spectators. But to some… everything is a conspiracy.
