From Harford County Government:
BEL AIR, Md., (June 16, 2015) – Harford County Executive Barry Glassman issued the following statement on the passing of former county council president and Havre de Grace mayor Dr. Gunther Hirsch:
“I am saddened to hear of the passing of Gunther Hirsch. Dr. Hirsch was my childhood pediatrician, and we always enjoyed a close relationship as we carried out our public service roles together. He lived such an inspirational life from his early years in Europe where he escaped great tumult, to his time in Havre de Grace where he gave so much to the community in both his public and private lives. He rarely missed my annual Level Thanksgiving dinner and was a constant source of wisdom to me. I extend my condolences to his entire family and sympathy on behalf of the citizens of Harford County.”
County Executive Glassman has ordered the Harford County Flag to be flown at half-staff effective immediately in honor of Dr. Gunther Hirsch. The flag is to remain at half-staff until sunset on Thursday, June 18, 2015.

Funny, folks that had to work for Gunther Hirsch will remember him as an arrogant, egotistical, prick.
HDG Resident says
OOPS, I better fix that and say SOME of the people that worked for him… before the complaints from politician lovers start.
