From the Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office:
On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, State’s Attorney Joseph Cassilly recognized Harford County law enforcement officers for the efforts toward drunk/drugged driving enforcement. This annual event is held each year before graduation and wedding season to emphasize to the public the need to use designated drivers and to be aware of alcohol consumption.
The Harford County State’s Attorney’s Office has been active in the annual DWI Law Enforcement Recognition Awards for the past 25 years and has supported the outstanding work of each officer.
According to numbers from the District court there were 921 drunk/drugged driving cases brought in Harford County last year (2014). This is 200 fewer cases than in 2012. “I believe that public awareness and education as well as enforcement are responsible for the reduction,” said Cassilly.
During the presentation in the Ceremonial Courtroom, Cassilly posed the question, “How many families get home safely from an evening out and realize everything is okay because a police officer stopped a drunk driver that might have ruined their lives.”

Must have been “Casual Dress” day at the Sheriff’s Department……..
Uniform Doesn't Matter says
It’s called he was working all day, you don’t wear a class A uniform to shift. And that deputy you refer to is one of the best cops I’ve ever seen, fortunately for everyone in the county he does his job well and helps keep everyone safe.

The photographer should have put him in the back row where the short black guy is, that leads me to another point, why are black officers in the back row? This is BS, time to call in Sharpton.

So that Deputy leads the HCSO in DUI arrests and he works the day shift? Interesting, you would have thought the top DUI arrests would have come from a Deputy who works the evening shifts.

Don’t get your panties in a bunch. Just pointing out it was the deputy that looked out of place in this photo. Everyone else was in dress uniform or clothes, while wearing a tie.
