From the Bel Air Independence Day Committee:
The Bel Air Independence Day Committee is calling upon the community to get their floats, marching units, antique cars, and comic/novelty acts ready for Harford County’s premier Fourth of July celebration!
Local businesses and organizations are welcome as well, with their entry appearing in front of tens of thousands of people lining the parade route through downtown Bel Air on Saturday, July 4, 2015.
This year’s theme is “An Olde-Fashioned Fourth of July,” paying tribute to the traditions and warm spirit of our community’s independence celebration. Entrants are encouraged to decorate or craft their entry to embody that theme in any way they wish.
“We’re looking forward to a wonderful parade this year,” said Parade Chairman Michael Blum. “We’d like to hear from Scout troops, churches, civic organizations, clubs and businesses—let’s make our OLDE-FASHIONED FOURTH OF JULY the best parade ever!”
Entrants who have joined the parade in previous years should not wait to receive an application from the Bel Air Independence Day Committee! The only way to join the parade is by filling out an online application on the committee’s Web site at: http://www.belairjuly4.org/innerpages/contact.html. Full rules and regulations governing parade entries are available at http://www.belairjuly4.org/innerpages/paraderules.html.
The deadline for applying to join the parade is Friday, June 12 for entries printed out and sent via U.S. mail, or Monday, June 15 for entries submitted via the online form, faxed, or hand-delivered as detailed on the committee’s Web site.

I have a good idea, maybe you can get some of the volunteer fire departments in the parade.

Fire Trucks do make a nice parade. Maybe put WalMart in as the Grand Marshal.

Please keep the Politicians out of the parade. Parades are geared towards kids who could care less about fake politicians.

Is Jesse Bane going to show up in a clown car this year?

What about the ridiculous “speak English” float??

I agree with no politicians, I don’t care what party they belong to. They can raise a fuss all they want but they aren’t needed, and weren’t some of them using the parade several years ago to promote their own idelogical agendas?
