Citizens of Harford County should be very grateful to Friends of Harford for keeping us informed of such meetings and reminding us how to quickly access the relevant documents.
If Planning and Zoning had its way, the meetings would be over and done with by the time we learned of it.
This is the use of “Social Media” at its best..

Well, yes and no. More publicity is better, but you have to give credit to Planning and Zoning for coming out with the interactive map system. It’s very easy for anyone to go to the website, look at the map, click on the bubbles and follow links directly to all the projects in various stages in the county.
I mean, short of knocking on people’s doors they can’t make it any easier.
Now whoever can get people to care about any of this will really have done something special.
Mr. Moderate says
Agreed, as far the larger, more community-wide projects are concerned. I’m referring more to the lesser, “out of the spotlight” type projects that nonetheless have the ability to impact people’s property, quality of life, etc. People just do not routinely and regularly visit the P&Z website.
