From Del. Kathy Szeliga:
Dear Friends:
The 2015 legislative session is finished. Maryland taxpayers are safe until next January. While there are rumors about a “special session,” I believe them to be just that – rumors. I do not think Governor Hogan has any interest in bringing legislators back to Annapolis this year.
In the upcoming months, I’m excited to be participating with community groups to improve our state. There are three important activities happening in the next few weeks. Perhaps you will be able to participate with me in at least one of them.
I hope to see you at one of these great events!
Angel Park
Finish Strong!
Angel Park will be an all-inclusive playground and amphitheater facility in Perry Hall near the library on Honeygo Blvd. The concept is similar to Annie’s Playground in Harford County. It is a playground that kids with disabilities can fully utilize. Angel Park will include slides that prevent static shock, equipment that is fully-wheelchair accessible, and other various unique playground equipment that all kids can use, no matter the disability or handicap.
Kelli Szczybor and her leadership team have raised almost $1 million for the project! The State of Maryland and Baltimore County have committed more than $200,000.
After selling out next week’s fundraiser almost immediately after announcing it, Kelli and her team had to move the event to the Timonium Fairgrounds. The residents and businesses in Perry Hall and Baltimore County are excited about supporting such a great project.
This is a terrific project we can all be proud of. My husband and I will be at the Bull & Oyster Roast this weekend and also on the construction crew in September.

Mr. Moderate says
Mrs. Szeliga – Why ruin an otherwise perfectly legitimate Newsletter by inserting an opening statement that engages in fear mongering and waves a red herring? Shouldn’t constituents expect better from a leader of a major party?
