From the Boys & Girls Clubs Harford County:
Dwayne Noe is the new Executive Director for Camp Hidden Valley, a summer program managed by Boys & Girls Clubs Harford County.
Noe joins the Clubs after retiring from a 34-year career as a technology and agricultural mechanics teacher for Harford County Public Schools. As a teacher, Noe coached soccer, softball, Odyssey of the Mind and Lego Club activities as well as serving as the technical director for dramatic and musical theatre productions at North Harford High School.
In his community, Noe was an active leader for Boy Scout Troop 811 in Pylesville, serving as Scoutmaster for four years, and an elder at Grandview Christian Church. He directed Senior High week at Delaware Valley Christian Camp for 10 summers, directing staff and programming for more than 100 campers per week in their RVs.
A native of nearby New Jersey, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX and a Master’s degree in Industrial Technology from Rowen College in Glassboro, NJ. Noe also holds a Maryland Home Improvement Commission license and owns and operates his own business providing handyman services.
Camp Hidden Valley is an outdoor education program focused on character and leadership development and curbing summer learning loss. Located on 180 acres of beautiful land along Deer Creek in White Hall, Maryland, it offers a summer day camp program that is clearly unique for the area. With walking and hiking trails, low ropes courses, swimming pool, basketball, archery, indoor spaces and volleyball, a well-rounded camp experience has been created.
Eight two-week sessions will give campers the opportunity to master new skills, make new friends, gain new confidence, and have fun. But, most importantly, Camp Hidden Valley is a place where kids can be kids again.
