The Aberdeen Police Department is investigating reports that involve thefts and fraud from patrons of the Panera Bread located at 1022 Beards Hill Rd in Aberdeen.
Detectives have obtained photos of the two suspects and are seeking information from anyone who could identify either of them. Please call Detective J. Divel at (410) 272-2121 Ext. 132. All tips will remain confidential.
Not but a couple years ago I happened to be at the Mars (Beards Hill) in Aberdeen. It was dusk but enough light left between the setting sun and parking lot lights that I could see a young man behind an elderly couple as I left the store – it seemed suspicious to me so even though my car was parked on the other side I kept walking in that direction. By the time this older couple got in their truck the young man was now beside the driver door and the older man was in the process of rolling down his window. Now within 15 ft. the young man realized my presence, mumbled something and went back off through the parking lot. I have no doubt the too trusting older couple would have been robbed. I spoke to them – sad part is they both grew up in a different time – a better time frankly when you didn’t have to worry about everyone. I warned them both to park closer to the front if at all possible. Aberdeen is turning into quite a lovely town.
We should move all the section 8 housing to Hart Miller Island.

I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to find that Art Helton owns that lot next to the train station.
What I don’t understand is why can’t people work for a living? Go get an education and then a job doing good for others instead of trying to figure out how to swindle and outright rob people of their hard earned money. The other thing I don’t understand is why our country has so many able-bodied people receiving public benefits. It’s not that these folks can’t work…they don’t want to work and have found it much easier to sit home and collect a check. Wake up America.
Because Obama has created an atmosphere of making government subsidies abs handouts part of the norm – they have become a staple in our culture. To many, living off of the hard work of others is just fine because normal people don’t fight back. I say limit welfare to a certain period if time, 6 months to a year.
Convicted felon? No benefits for you, find a job at a car wash or Popeye’s.
Single mother who had her kid (s) at 13? Well, we will support you so long as you provide monthly progress reports verifying that you are enrolled, and attending, school while retaining a decent GPA. The minute you drop out…the “sustinence” stops. Go work at Target or Walmart.
I think we should also start posting these pictures in a more public place than The Dagger. Local news?
Posters at all gas stations in the county? I bet if Faezel, or Jerome see their faces spread around they will think twice.

I work with a segment of this population on a daily basis and I am baffled how many of them who are receiving public benefits feel entitled…not only to this free handout, but to many other free (to them) but very expensive (to productive, hard working citizens) services. They could care less about where it comes from. And some, if it is not given, they will take.
This country is going down a shit hole and it is frightening to think about what the future looks like.
