The cause of a small fire which broke out on the exterior of a Forest Hill home Saturday afternoon remains under investigation, fire officials said.
The fire was reported by a neighbor shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday on the exterior of a two-story home in the 1900 block of Muncey Drive in Forest Hill, according to a statement from the Office of the State Fire Marshal. A total of 30 firefighters from the Fallston, Bel Air, and Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Companies responded and brought the blaze under control in approximately 20 minutes.
Damage to the home was estimated at $5,000, according to the State Fire Marshal’s Office; the family living in the home was not displaced as a result. The cause of the fire remained under investigation Monday afternoon.
